Yellow Light Thai – Singapore

With Singapore being so close to Thailand, we kinda just assumed that there would be an abundant amount of authentic thai to choose from… but alas– we were wrong! So after sampling as many places as possible we have found Yellow light Thai to be one of the more positive & tasty places to choose from.

As well as the Thai staples that you’d usually order like Pad Thai and Green Curry, we opted to try some of the fancier and hopefully spicier options.

The Thai Fish Cakes (Thod Mun Pla) can sometimes be hit or miss, and although smaller than expected, they were packed with much more exciting flavours than your usual fish ball.

A new one for us was the Gai Hor Bai Toey, which is marinated chicken wrapped in Pandan leaves.
Looking very exotic in their carefully wrapped leaves, the chicken held its tenderness and was a yummy taste as well as fun to unravel!

And then we have the regular Pad Thai… But with Prawns!!

Our favourite for the night was the Roasted Duck Red Curry… your usual spicy red, with tender meat of the donald duck variety.

• ROASTED DUCK RED CURRY •

And then if you wants something a bit lighter.. to balance out the curry, we suggest you try our other favourite, the Stir fried pork with basil leaves… and crunchy rice bits!!
So juicy, zesty and nice and light!

Located in the shophouses of East Coast rd, Yellow Light Thai is a nice an easy place to get to…. with plenty of drinking and dessert options for after.
